Week of July 28 and August 4, 1997
Thursday, August 7, 1997 The weekly scoops on the advertising industry shakedown: Dogs & Cats sleeping together? Sounds more like the latest Apple/Microsoft antics. The "Homebrew" Letter.
Thursday, July 31, 1997 Why does Microsoft do this? What a pain. Even if I name my files all lowercase, Win95 will change them, thus messing up the case-sensitivity of Unix web servers causing broken web pages. As a general rule-of-thumb, web site files should be named in all lower case. My Mac has no problems at all with me assigning case-sensitive names for my files.
Wednesday, July 30, 1997 More about monitor color calibration. Just because Apple's management sucks doesn't mean that they don't have some very cool projects going on in the back rooms of Cupertino. Talofa! Even the tiny island of Tutuila has Internet access. Yes, even your fair-haired host lived in fale huts for two years of his life.
Tuesday, July 29, 1997 Oooohhhh....I feel sick. Why do I hate them so much? Moof! Meet Dogcow's mom.... Joe Gillespie's wonderful Web Ruler (a pixel ruler that shows the difference between graphics on Macs and PeeCees).
Monday, July 28, 1997 Usability Engineering Stories What Microsoft has planned. This should be cool....beam me up Scotty. Kick-ass sites every fortnight. Bookmark this sucker!
