Hi there, was on that line, in between the people finally made it to the casting table at 4:30pm, so who knows? It was quite an experience, I got a 65.00 parking ticket (which I expected)and had fun. Never did anything like that before, but since losing 61.4 lbs, I've gained lots of confidence. Not sure when they do "call backs" on these things, or should I have gotten one already? Who knows? All I know is, love Deal or no Deal, will keep watching and remain hopeful. Renee

Hey there...I think my friend and I were about 70 down the line from the start. Arriving at 1:00am from Vermont. It was a fun time although I haven't figured out why I waited 8 hours for 30. sec. we'll see maybe it will be worth it! Best of luck everyone....Anthony you were a blast. There is a casting in St. Louis next week. Considering it??? Any pointers? Do you have to take your supporters with you?

I too was on line not far behind the twins Cameron and Damien. Waited about 5 1/2 hours. Was totally worth it. Yes they did let you know then if you got the callback right away. They only took less than 2% of the 4600 people. I did get one (I was the only one in the group to get it.) You got a yellow slip smaller but similiar to the American Idol paper. The call back was Monday Night. Waited another 3 hours and had a 15 minute interview and got to play the game. Was so exciting! Would definetly do it again! Hope you all see me on the show in 6 weeks.

I went to the casting call yesterday in St. Louis. I did not see anyone get a piece of paper for a call back. They said that they would call you if they were interested and that it could be 6 months from now. They had people come in groups of ten, stand around a table and each person was given 20 seconds to present themselves. Did anyone hear anything or have a different experience?

I went to the open casting in St. Louis. I waited in line for about an hour then they started handing out pieces of paper to come back on sunday morning at 10am to do the interview. I took it and came back sunday at 10 and got right in. They had each of the 10 of us talk for about 30 seconds then myself and 2 other ladies in their 50's were asksed to stick around. They asked us more questions for about 5 minutes each and then said goodbye and thanks.

About 30 minutes after I got home I got a call for a callback on Tues. at a hotel in St. Louis and they said to bring 4 to 7 'supporters' and dress like you would for tv. I have NO idea what to expect, I wonder if this is the 15 minute interview process that the previous comment talked about. I'm totally excited. Wish me luck!!!

I too was at the call in St. Louis, My sister-in-law and I got up(well I had been up since 6:30a.m. Friday) at 2:00 A.M. and we took off excited talking all the way when we got there it was 4:45a.m. We were corraled in the parking lot at the Casino Queen I did not sit except for the few minutes it took to fill out the app. around 8:00 is when the line started moving. Right behind us and in our group of ten were 2 firefighters from New York well needless to say being a frieman who drove from New York to Stlouis just for 20 seconds was way more rememorable than me wanting to bring the WHARTHOG home to retire. I even showed pictures of my 5 kids and everything. but the main thing is that it was fun and there really wasn't any commotion and everyone seemed to have a great time. Too the firemen and the cancer surviver in our group good luck and have great time on the show!!!!!!!

I was there for the NY casting. I guess I missed you guys. Anyway, out of the 4650 people, only 130 were picked for a call back at the Marriot. My brother was picked and we had to go with 4-7 people. They video taped my bro for like 10 mins and then everyone went in and played a mock version of the show.
They said it could take anywhere from 2 to 8 months for a call back.
The cool part is while we were there they did this thing called a flip on my aunt (which means they liked her crazy ass so much they wanted her to audition too)
Im curious as to when they are going to air all the casting call footage since that will be my only claim to fame. Good luck everyone!

Help DOND contestants! I am considering travelling to Vegas this weekend to try out. But my "supporters" are all over the country and won't be able to make it if I get called back. What legitimate chance do I have to be on if my supporters can't make it? Would they say "NO DEAL" to a solo callback tryout? Thanks for helping :)

I also attended the Casting Call in St. Louis at the Casino Queen; Out of the ten people at our table, only three of us were asked to stay. I was then asked to tell them something about myself that other people would not know/think about me. My answer..(that I luv the PBR) evidently did not phase them, as I was not given a call back to attend with my supporters.

Oh well. There were so many people there (thousands) that I really did not expect that I would have a snowball's chance, but at least making the cut from my original group of ten was exciting.

Hey Guys- Just found this site. I was at the audition in NYC with my roommate and got a call back. It was great, so much fun! SOOOO much fun!!! No idea though. Has anyone heard anything after the call backs or know when they should hear? SOOOOO exciting!!! Best of luck to everyone:)

I went to the St. Louis casting call. I recieved a yellow call back slip after the 20 second interview. I attended the call back at the Ritz-Calton on 5/29/2006. I was interviewed for 20 minutes then my supporters and I played the game. The producer really like me and wanted to give me a good chance so he auditioned my husband too!!!! He did an awesome job also. Now all we can do is wait. The next callback can take anywhere from 2-8 months.

[Ed. note]: Open casting for the Fall shows has been completed. The casting directors have a pool of potential contestants to draw from for when they start shooting again in August. It can be assumed that if the show does not get cancelled mid-season, then casting calls will resume in the Fall and probably again in the Winter. Pay attention to the NBC.com web site where they post ongoing casting calls. Alternately, you can always enter via videotape. Details are on the NBC casting page.

Hi everyone! I'm going to attend an open call on Sat. in Evansville, IN. For those of you who have attended, any advice on how early to get there or how to get a call back?

It sounds like so much fun! I can hardly wait!

I attended the open casting call in St. Louis on May 27, and I did get a call back. I went to the Ritz Carlton, and waited around with my supporters, and had a blast, waiting for my interview, and to play the game. All in all, I would say it's been the most fun thing I've done, in a long time, and in a split second, I would do it again, even if I don't get called back. To just be able to dream about being an actual contestant is a thrill every day now when I wake up. I think to myself, "today could be the day they call." Man, it's going to be a long summer. With any luck, I'll be typing a message to tell everyone I'm off to L.A.!!!! Good luck to everyone who got called back, and I hope you see me on NBC!!!!!

Hey Dwight! How many days after the open call did you have to go to the Ritz Carlton? I'm worried that if it's just a few days after, I won't be able to go. My family has delayed our Florida trip so that I can go to this call, but we're leaving immediately after I'm finished. Wonder if they'd consider letting me drive to another state? Just a thought.

I was wondering how old your supporters have to be? Is there an age limit? I am going to the try-outs this Saturday. I am so excited! Give me any helpful hints! Thank you!

To Jill: The callback came the next day after the open call. I went to the Ritz-Carlton 3 days later, on Tuesday.
To Karen: There is no age limit for supporters. Just make sure that your supporters are the most exciting people you know, and make sure you're all dressed in "camera friendly" clothes. And remember this, BE YOURSELF. Don't try to act excited, BE EXCITED. This is a once in a lifetime chance, don't blow it. One of things a producer told me before my interview is this: don't walk out of here feeling like you could have done it better. Give them 110%, and feel confident that when you leave, they liked you, and you couldn't have done anything better. And for pete's sake, don't get impatient standing around for hours, waiting to be interviewed. I waited about 3 hours, and never showed an ounce of impatience. You have to remember, you probably won't have another opportunity like this, so make it count!!!

To Shirley: When you get up to the table on Saturday, whatever it is that you do that makes you special, do it, do it often, and smile alot. Show your excitement, behave like you just won the lottery, don't hold back, and whatever you do, don't whine. My gimmick was about 15 seconds of comedy. Apparently it worked. All 10 people, and the producer at my table laughed. Then I went on, and they laughed again. That's all it took. I was my usual quirky, funny self, and I got a call back. Also, have a unique answer for what you would do with $1,000,000. Mine was different than the typical ideas. I think that helped my case also.

Jill, Thanks for the vote of confidence, and I wish you well tomorrow!!! Remember, plan ahead what you're going to say, because I'm telling you, they literally have a stopwatch, and they go in order, you have 20 seconds,....that's right, 20 seconds--to say what you're going to say and if the producer you happen to get isn't entertained, they move on to the next person when your time is up, and they won't hesitate for a moment. However, if what you say makes them smile, laugh or raise an eyebrow, they will ask you to stay, and release a couple if not most of the people around the table. Then the producer will probably have you elaborate on something you said, or maybe just ask you what you would do with $1,000,000. I like to compare what I went through with a job interview,... a really short job interview. I mean, what can you possibly say in 20 seconds that would make someone like you? 12 years ago before I got married, I used to entertain people at bars by making jokes, and making people laugh. I don't do anything like that anymore, so I'm sort of rusty at it. I was a little nervous at first, but then I realized... this is a person just like me, and they have a sense of humor,... although they see hundreds, if not thousands of people during these things, and it's a little harder for them to just listen to everyone with the same amount of attention. I mean at one point, my producer started looking away, as if I were trying to pick her up, and ignoring me like I had the plague. At that point, I was scrambling to say anything to get her attention back. I was quite surprised the next day when I got called, because I felt a little bit like I overdid it. She did see something worthwhile, and I'm still not sure what it was, but at this point, I'm not really caring, as long as they call me back before they start taping.

I posted on May 28th about recieving the call back to go to the ritz carlton in st louis after the first round at the casino queen. There was about a hundred people there and we waited almost 3 hours. Got to play the game and all that. Didn't really think I had any shot because of so many people and all the other cities they were going to go to... But...

On Friday July 14th I got a call form DOND and was told that a spot opened up during their first taping session (July 19th to the 21st) and they were talking to me and 4 other people to see who could fill the spot. I talked to them for about 2 hours and emailed pictures and they said they would call back only if they picked me (boo). As of July 16th (2 days later) havn't heard anything at all. They said if I wasn't selected I would still be considered for other taping sessions. Almost would of been better not hearing anything than getting the call, being told you have a 1 in 5 chance of being on the show and then not hearing anything. OH Well.. Still hoping!

Just a question. I too made it to a call back and after I played the game I was given the option of playing another game where I could pick one of two cards to be on the show. I picked the right card and then as I was getting ready to leave the casting director called me back and spoke with me alone for about 10-15 more minutes asking me more questions. Did this happen to you or anyone else? Does anyone know if this is good? I have not heard from them and am so anxious ato find out ii I am going to be on the show. Any thoughts?

So, I was at the casting call Saturday in Des Moines, IA. They gave us the whole rundown of how the thing would work and they didn't mention anything about special slips, immediate callbacks, or playing a mock version of the game. They simply said that the casting director would review the 1400 tapes and then callbacks would begin and that we could hear back in anywhere from 2 days to 6 months. Is this just a ploy to make those of us who didn't get the "slip" feel like we might have a chance or is it possible that they have a different way of doing things? I think they have casting calls everyday in different cities for the next month or so????? How would that leave time for the whole process explained in earlier posts? Thanks for any info or help...

HI all! Well, I felt very good about my audition Sat. I was very excited and felt like I was going to pee my pants! (I said that on camera too! :) Anyhoo, just as Jessica said, they told us we had 30 secs. and then callbacks would begin anywhere from 1 day to 6 mos. We didn't stand around a table. There were 6 conference rooms and each had an interviewer and a camera man. You went in with a paper that had your name, ph#, and city of the call on it. You held it under you and said your "thing" and then you were done. My interviewer didn't ask me any questions, but my mom's did. I didn't hear much from other people after the audition. It was totally fun and I'd do it again in a heartbeat! We got there at 5:30 a.m. and were done at 10:15 a.m. I got to talk to the main casting director afterwards because she was sitting there as I was waiting for my mom to finish. Hopefully she'll remember me. My family was at home waiting for me so we could leave for vacation so I have my home phone forwarded to my cell just in case!

Hey! I attended the casting call in Columbia, SC. I waited in line for 6 hours. It was awesome! Everyone was so nice and pumped up. We all played off of each other's energy and stayed motiviated. I received a call back the next night. When the Los Angeles, CA number popped up on my caller id I about had a heart attack! I couldn't keep my husband quiet. He was thrilled! We went back on Monday for a second interview and played a mock version of the game. I wasn't able to round up my supporters but did get to take some gals from work. They were more nervous than me :) All in all, I had a blast, made some friends and created a memory that will last a lifetime. Oh, there were no slips handed out at the first or second interview. I wish everyone who goes out the absolute best of luck! What makes this all so fun is the fact that in America we have the freedom to believe in our dreams!!! What a deal!!!

I also interviewed in St.Louis and went to the ritz on tues. It really was the best time of my life. I felt like I was really playing the game. The producer was so nice and it was a blast. I have never experienced anything like that before and it would be such a fun time to be on deal or no deal. My family watches the show all the time. I am curious Dan, you mentioned they called you back in the room and had you play another game where you had to pick a box and get the right answer. they had me do it right then and I also got the right one but that was after I played the game with my supporters for around 45 minutes. Hey, I went to the Richmond Va. casting today. Got there about 4 a.m. , there were about 300 people in front of me. They let us in the Shopping Mall at 7 a.m. , the casting call was supposed to start at 10 a.m. but they started us at about 8:30 , I went in a small booth, just me a camera man and an assistant. I was taped for 30 seconds. I was out of there by 9:50. Everything went very smooth and quick. Had alot of fun. They told us " If we want you , we will call you" . I'll be waiting! Auditioned in Tulsa,OK July 15th. 100 degree plus tamp. 3hours waiting outside. Made freinds with the yoga instructor and high school drill team coach,another woman named Elvira and last but not least Dawn drove from Edmond,OK she said she worked for the big Wally World. I highly recomend taking an umbrella with you. I was armed with sunblock 30. I shared that and my stash of PB&Js. The ladies around me shared Ice, spritzer bottles and the shade of their umbrellas.

We got 30 sec. and were told call backs could be up to a year away. Don't call us we'll call you sort of thing.

I went home a got a well deserved nights sleep. Planned on sleeping till noon. But, DOND had other plans for me. 9:00 am Sunday morning my phone was ringing.

Sharon from DOND said I was their first call back from Tulsa (we didn't get any yellow slips of paper?)I needed to round up my 4-7 supporters and come camera ready at 10am the next day. Supporters had to be at least 8 years old so my son could go. Yeah!

Things are a little fuzzy (Woke up from deap sleep) But she ask me to wear a suit or dress to the call back and I ask if she'd seen my tape? I remember saying if that's what you want me to wear I will arrive in whatever they want but not exactly my "style" She passed me off to Scott the Castin Director and he said dress to match your personality just promise me no shorts or jeans.

When I hung up the phone "Howler Monkey Screams" commenced.

I was told to download an 11pg. application and leave nothing blank. Questions included: If you had 3 wishes what would you wish for? Draw a self portriate. Compose a rap or poem about yourself. Crazy wild stuff.

I had about a 15 to 20 min. interview with Scott and Sharron. then my supporters were allowed in to play the mock up game. The game itself didn't go so well... I ended up with a penny.lol.

They loved my energy and my look but said all the taped call backs don't get seen by the producers.
He offered to let me play one more game. Pick envelope #1 or #2. One will say 'YES' my footage would get edited and forwarded on to the producers in LA. the other 'NO'in which case my audition ends right there. I picked 'Yess!" and the room went CRAZY.

After we left. I had to wonder if that was their safety net way of seeing just how excited you and your peeps would get when it was all on the line. Has anyone out there EVER picked 'NO'?

Hi guys! I went to the open auditions in Savannah, GA. There were 3,000 people there. Out of the three thousand they called 30 back on tuesday, I was one of them! I know with out a doubt that I could have done much better on my call back interview, but I was so nervous I couldn't even think. basically i did my 15 min interview, we played a short version of the game and won $10. At the end he just said try and forget about the audition(no chance) that we could hear back anywhere from two weeks to two years. i have been beating myself up ever since! I did have a good time though!

I am shocked not by what I am hearing but what I am'not hearing' from you guys that have attended a Deal or no deal casting-call; I too attend one in Des Moines, Ia on July 15, 2006 and we were the 8th in line arriving 17-hours early with all of our hopes and dreams in our pockets. We already had our applications completed and we had done some research and were prepared for the 20-sec. interview. We were aware of the 'yellow slips' I had read about in these testimonials, but we failed to get one...yet, they leave you with the belief you still have a chance to get a call-back.
If I hadn't read about these slips, we would have not known any better. What really upset me was that I found a website after-the-fact called: casting-calls.us that gives the requirements and a discription of what the producers are looking for.
I found out that they were looking for (1) person (out of the 1400) that attended that 90+ degree day and that they must be betweeen the ages of 18-45. Of, course we were all over 45yrs. and did not have a prayer in the world, we had lost long before we ever arrived.
Today I noticed that the age limit for New Orleans is 18-60yrs old. I wonder if all the 61yr. and beyond are aware of this?
I am furious to have been decieved, mislead and used as an "extra" only there to increase the crowd. Waiting in line for 17 hours in this heat and all for not. I sent a letter to WHO-13 and they forwarded to DOND and I recieved a call from California denying that they posted the site, nor do they have an age limit...yet, remember when you reach the table for your 20-seconds of fame that they first ask you three questions: name, town you reside and YOUR AGE! I suggest if you are over the age of 45, don't waste your time.

Hi, all. Considering all the rumors, does anyone actually know of someone over age 45 that made it on to the show? I'm 58 and stood in line yesterday in Chattanooga for 5 hours, hate to think it would be all for naught. I had fun but missed a day of work and the point was to make it onto the show.

I went to a casting call in Shreveport, LA, and I made it there around 8a.m. There was already 400+ people ahead of me, and the gates didn't even open up until 10:00 p.m. I knew I had a good chance, because of my outgoing personality. I finally made it to the booth to do my 30 second interview, and I blew the camera man away!!! The next morning, my mom woke me up and told me "Deal or No Deal", was on the line. I was shocked, I hopped out of the bed and grabbed the phone. They wanted me to come to another interview, where I would actually play a pratice game. This is where they will pick the actual contestats for the t.v. show. I am SUPER EXCITED! Out of 3,500 people I was selected to come back.

If anyone is going to a casting call in a few months. Just make sure you give it your all. They are looking for people with a lot of ENERGY. Don't go in there talking about you need money to fix your house, send your kids to school, or to vacation with. Yes, we all need money to do that with. Just be original and be yourself. DEAL OR NO DEAL

Hey everyone!! I went to the casting call in Anchorage Alaska on July 29th. No tables or slips of paper. We waited in line for about 4 hours and then once you got to the front, they shuffled you to 5 different cameras. You had 30 seconds to tell them why you should be on DOND. I was soooo nervous, but felt I did great!!

The next day I received a call back to come in for a second interview and play a mock game with my supporters. Unfortunately, I live in Valdez (6 hours away), so after the Sat. casting call I flew back to Valdez, cause they told us it could be 6 months before they called. I was willing to buy a plane ticket to make it for hte interview, but they told me it wouldn't be neccessary. They told me that they would do a phone interview and that we would play the game while being taped.

Now......I'm so nervous I can hardly stand it. What should I wear? What are they going to ask? What do my supporters wear??

If anyone out there went to the second call back, can you tell me what people were wearing?? Any other advise would be great! I'm excited and can't even sleep, because I keep thinking about this interview!!

So the nationwide casting call is over, right? I've seen a few postings of people that got call backs from those. Has anyone gotten anything else? Emails, phone calls or letters? I remeber at the interveiw the casting director mentioned I could get phone calls asking just one question and so could my supporters. The long application also ask if you check your email daily. Waiting for the next step, whatever that is. Please, post if any of you have received anything past the first call back.

I attended the Columbia Casting call and waited in line for 6 hours.

It was worth it b/c I got a call back the following Tuesday. I had to take off work early to get there that Wednesday but I think we did really well and showed our spunk. they told us it could be anywhere from 1-6 months so it has not yet been a month so I am still anxiously awaiting my nxt phone call.

i love this website b/c it's interesting to see how many people have gotten these call backs. It seems like a lot of people but if you think of all the thousands of people you did beat out then it makes it worthwhile.

my call back came 3 days later but it was early on the 3rd day.

I went to a casting call today, and I did "REALLY", well. The casting director, liked all of my answers, and I played the pratice game. I only won $10, but oh well. At least that is pratice. I hope to be getting a call... Does anyone know of how long it may take after the 2nd callback.. I am so anxious....

I went to the casting call in Richmond, got a call the next day telling me to go the Marriott in two days....I was told I would hopefully hear back in "a while".... has anyone from Richmond heard anything since then?

I found a website that handles the tickets for the various tv show tapings. Deal or no Deal is on there, and 2 weeks ago, they started taping. They will tape again tomorrow, Thursday and Friday, then they take a couple of weeks off, then a couple of days at the end of the month, then 3 days at the end of September. Anytime between now and the end of September, they could call you. It is also my understanding that they tape about 50 shows for the season, even though they only use about 26 of them. So if you see it like I do, that's 50 chances, that they could call any one of us. The website is hollywoodtickets.com

I auditioned in Las Vegas on the 31 of May 2006. I waited in line for 6 hours in the blistering heat with two friends of mine. It was fun..but really hot, anyway I went to the table with the people and since I'm from another country I spoke my foriegn language and the producer fell inlove with me, she fist sent off the other seven people and said that they would contact them when needed.

Then she talked to the lady that was on my left and asked her a follow up question, wrote something on her paper and said that she would be contacted if needed.

Then she talked to the lady on my right and she had a really big personality and talked like Fran fromthe nany, it was awefull!! Anyway she talked to her some more and wrote something on her paper and sent her off.

Then there was me, she asked me about my family and my 4 languages that I speack, I talked to her about how I want to help my family that still lives in my native 3rd world country.

She handed me a yellow slip and said that she would like me to comeback 2 days later, I was beside myself!! She said to hide teh slip so other people did'nt see it, she direcyed me to some beyond some curtains that were set up in a corner at the end of the room.

The lady there then told me the time and place that i need to be with my supporters. I went home could'nt sleep, was just crazy with excitement.

After work that Monday I got off work early and my husband and his family got in a car and headed to Las Vegas again. There were more people than I had expected, I was feeling so special untill then. Anyway we all went into one room where one guy from DOND was telling us how lucky we are and how we should give it our all at the interview.

They kept taking people to diffarent rooms and I waited for about 2 hours, hungry and tired having picked up and left from work.
I was the last person to be interviewed that day in that specific room. The producer that had given me the call back was so excited to see me and said that she had been waiting just for me all day! This calmed my nerves and I felt like i could actually do this !!

Anyway we talked and talked and the guy was video taping every tear and every smile!! Then came the chance to bring my supporters in and we played the mock game, and in that game I actually won the Million dollars,it was so easy to be excited, the producer told me that no one had been able to do that all day!!

Anyway then she had two cards numbered 1 & 2 and said that if I picked the one with the YES I would be considered for the show, obviously i was then a nervouse wreck cause if I got NO it would all end as quickly as it began.

I picked the one with the YES and the producer gave me a big hug and wished me luck!! I though about DOND for a while after this interview and since they told be that it would be 3 months before I would hear anything I felt silly for even thinking about it....

this is untill Monday July 26, sitting and working I get a call from a guy that introduced himself as a producer from the show and said that they had picked me and would be calling that night to talk about what they need to put my show together.....oh my gosh was I excited!!!

I called all of my family to tell them the good news and they were ging wild!! Anyway since then its been a rollercoaster ride, my shoot date was pushed back 4 weeks ( I personaly think that they are trying to do something cool for me,just reading between the lines!! ) Cause when they first called they said that my taping was in 8 days so it was hecking and they called my supporters, co workers and friends cause they wanted better supporters and not just family so the more they found out about me the more they thought they should push back the date of the shooting, they said it would be better for me that way ( whaterver that means?? )!

They told me what to wear and the things they want me to bring and all that stuff, they are going to be flying me out with my supporters and getting us a hotel and all that jazz!!

The end of the month is my definate shooting date!!

Has anyone received a call back after the second audition with your supporters that did not get to choose between the #1 and #2 cards that said "Yes" or "No"? Just wondering if you have to be asked to pick one of those cards to be considered for the third round. Thanks!

Wow!! That's so exciting!!! I was at the Richmond open call and had my callback last Monday. We are from PA so all of my supporters called off work at the last minute (the open audition was Saturday and they called me Sunday morning). So - we made the trek again and it was so worth it!! We had a blast and they spent a lot of time w/ us so I'm hoping that's a good sign. I seriously need money for our April wedding - what a great way to fund the party!!!!!
Just to get the callback was very exciting. Congrats to everyone that has made it this far - something to be proud of.
I also just lost 50 pounds so everyone at my gym is routing for me....good luck to everyone!!!

Did anyone who went to the audition in Chattanooga get asked to play a second game or get asked to play the game where you pick card #1 or #2 and get the yes or no to have your tape sent on to the producer? I'm just wondering if they do the same thing in every city. I went to the casting call this past Sat. and was called back on Sunday for the audition today with my supporters. It went well! We'll see! Just wondering if anyone else in Chattanooga had the same experience.

Nsiki, Congrats! I know you wont be able to tell us what, or if, you've won any money. But, will you please let us know the process? Every little detail? You are the first I've heard that has heard back after the 'call back.' My call back was July 17th. If you waited 2 months to hear something I'm in for a long wait. You should see me dive for the phone and squinting to reading the caller ID, lol. Good Luck.

I went to the audition in Chatanooga this past Saturday and had my 2nd audition today. I was not asked to play a 2nd game, nor was I given an option b/w envelope 1 or 2. Actually, I was only there about 30 minutes. Did anyone else from the Chat auditions have a different experience? How long were you there?

I went to the open audition in Lexington and got called for the callback audition. I'm thinking that since there are several casting directors doing these auditions, that each of them might just have their own way of doing things. I did not see any papers with "yes" or "no" anywhere around or hear of any in the auditions. I'm also thinking that this may be part of some of the directors ploys to see just how enthusiastic some people are. Perhaps the word "yes" was on both of these papers and they wanted to see who showed the most energetic reaction. ? ? ?

I'm with you, Diane. None of the people I talked to at our callbacks in St. Louis heard of these "yes" envelopes. I can assure you that when I left the room with my supporters, all of us felt like we couldn't have done anything better, and the producer we got looked entertained-----yet here I sit, waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Every time I read one of these strings about a "yes" envelope, it makes me cringe--only because I didn't get one, and it makes me think thatI didn't because they weren't the least bit interested in me, or my supporters. But who knows, maybe I've put too much thought into any of this, and they could be waiting until the end of September to call me. Whatever happens, it was nice to dream about it for a while, and I'm still a big fan of the show, and will watch it until it goes off the air.

Caller ID reads *Out of Area* I beleive it's LA area code. Don't Look for bells and whistles DEAL OR NO DEAL to read out.

Ok when they call it shows as an ID unavalable, or no number. If they don't get a hold of you in the first number they will try every number that you listed even your supporters ( cause if they have decided they want you something that small does'nt discourage them) that is if they want you on teh show for sure.

When they called to say i made it on the show, they called my work and left me a message there, my cell and left a message, my husband and for some reason I was with my husband at work getting ready to go to luch and i asnwered his phone and they reached me that way. So I would only be worried if you have a line that block UNIDENTIFIED CALLERS!!

And to answer your questiopn Shelly, I'mnot sure what it is you're most interested in because I explained most of what happened in the last blog I did other than that there is'nt much to it.

My advise would be to just hang tight, I know that their season premire is Sep 18 and so they may be filming till the end of Sep but I'm not sure.

I know that they have 2 taping cycles a month and each one lasts a week and they prepare for the next one for a week, so hang tight!!

I'm so excited, if it does'nt work out it just was'nt what you were suppose to be doing at the time, when one door closes another opens!

Oh yeah and it does'nt matter who your supporters were at the taping they can call you and change them, they canask you to give them other names, phone numbers and picture and they call those people and decide wether or not they want them. You don't have much controll overe that, basically the one person garanteed a spot is your spouse. Just thought that would be usefulkl information so if you brought someone that did'nt really stand out, if you stood out and they liked you, theyll ravish through your life to find some interesting people they want ( its all about the ratings)

I feel like in the past two weeks I've been turned upside down, inside out, they want to know every little detail about you and your life. Nothing is left to emagination. So once you are assigned to your producer and show co-ordinater they become your best friend that you talk to several times a day !!

Oh,no. Nothing you can tell us yet. After, AFTER you do your taping for the actual show. Let us know what you can. I'm sure you're restricted about telling anyone about your winnings, but, hope you can let us know more about the process when they tape you for the show. Best of luck!

Do you know if being asked the quesions about card 1 or card 2 had anything to do with you getting chosen? I attended the NYC casting call and the Casting Director really seemed to like me. WE made him laugh and my wife told funny stories about me. At the end they asked me to pick card 1 or 2, I picked the one that said yes. Then as we were leaving and I was waiting by the elevator, the Casting Director called me back in to ask me some more questions. They said that they really liked me and i would be hearing from them but that was in middle May. Any thoughts?

I think that that cards numbered one and two are there to help show your emotions and them to see how you react under pressure, I think that they both have yes but at the tough of your DOND chance ending right there in that room, how do you react?

I think all the producers were nice, they had to be. They cannont afford to have a someone walking away felling like they did'nt like them, cause that person may do some crazy stuff and that would'nt be safe for anybody.

Its their job to try and get the best out of potential contestants and they can't give you the blank face or they may not get as much out of you!! Its the nature of the business, so I thought my producer liked me but when i was waiting in the hall for my turn I was looking through the peep hole on the door and she seemed to like everybody else just as much.

I don't think any of us went home crying because it was so aweful and we don't think we will ever get a call. We all go home hopefulls!!

In my case I had a good story and I spoke well and had alot of things that they can use to make their show interesting, something they've never done before.

They look for interesting, extraudinary, something viewers can get hoocked on...a story!
So wanting to fund you retirement does'nt really do it, so does everybody else. Wanting to have a big wedding ....yeah so does everybody else.

It sounds harsh but its the trueth, to get on the show you sell them your life story, your experiences and you hope the'll be the highest bider!!

I think the whole 2 cards thing is being blown way out of proportion, I just really think that its a technique that some ( not all) producers use to get more out of their potential contestants. Maybe if they felt you gave it your all, they may not even need to do that part.

I was at the Manhattan pre taping 2nd call back and I have not heard anything either yet. I also don't know anyone who has heard back since then and this was back in May. I thought i did a great job too and my pre taping lasted a long time. After me a waitress with other waiters and waitresses went in and i think they said they did really well too. if you are out there and know who i am talking about, did you hear back yet? i thought for sure you would get picked since you and your supporters looked so happy after the pre taping. I was at the call back in NYC. The same person that interviewed me at the open call interviewed me for the call back. I was at the Anchorage call. I got the call back the next day, and had to bring my supporters. Luke was my casting director, he seemed great and called me by a nickname he had given me. Then at the end of the "pretend" game I had two cases, mine and the last one. There was one cent and the one million. They offered me $400,000 and I said "no deal". Luke seemed irritated that I said no deal, he asked if I would have done that on the actual show. I assured him I would, I want to be the first person to go all the way. Ofcourse, I lost :( , but it was really fun. I am wondering if I blew my chance by not taking the money.

Did you have the two cards thing that everybody is talking about? Maybe luke just doesn't use that technique. What did he tell you at the end. I won the million that day and he told me I coudl pick it up at the front desk..ha...then he said now we wait 1-6 months for another call back and that was it. it's almost been a month since mine 1st call back. I'm about to give up hope on this since they are already on their next set of tapings.

Luke did not have the cards, at least for me. He did ask me to pretend to win the million, and I was screaming and crying and thanking everyone. Then at the end, when I only won the penny, we acted like I had lost and hugged and stuff. I thought we did really well. I wouldn't give up because our callback up here in Alaska was only a week ago, which means they are still currently looking for contestants. Good luck to you,

I received a second call back in New York. My family and I think we did very well but I have not heard anything since May 16th. Unfortunately I have given up! We are all so upset. Do you think there is any hope?

I attended the NYC casting call, received a call back and played the yes/no game as well. I too feel I did extremely well and had a good chance of being chosen. The casting director really seemed to like us and said some really nice things. What we have to realized is that there are limited spots for the show. I believe that the yes/no game is significant and whoever played that game was chosen to be put in the potential contestant pool. The point of the call back is to narrow down the potential contestants they have chosen from each state. From there, the producers of the show view all the tapes the casting directors selected and choose the potential contestants they like to be on the show. This is my opinion of the process. I feel the casting directors were very sincere about the people they liked but it is not their decision who gets picked. We should be cautiously optimistic until all the tapings are finished. They are not going to take ten people from NY or Las Vegas etc to be on the show, maybe two. So we should all feel really proud that we made it this far and feel really good about our auditions.

To my fellow NYers Julia, Laura and Unknown, has anyone heard anything new?

Just a word out to everyone that posts and reads this board. I find this to be the most supportive and informative of all the DOND boards and consider us very lucky to be able to network with others from across the country that are part of that "IT CLUB" that made even one call back. We are part of a spunky group. I'm sure some of you have read the Banker's Blog on the NBC site. It is scary and sometimes offensive. Keep us posted on individual progress, I'll get a kick out of watching any one of us on tv!

I believe the 'cards' where a specific casting directors way of seeing how some would react, I don't think they were in anyway a step up in the process. To all Ny'ers maybe they are putting us off until last b/c they already had NY contestants. I hope this is the reason. I think that want the smaller regions of the country to appear first, then maybe make their way to the big metropolis' again. Although, I think Las Vegas already had some 2nd call backs. I went tohe NYC and we thought we did really well. The casting director even summoned me back to the room when I was getting on the elevator to ask me more questions and was very optimistic. I don't know any thing more about the yes or no cards , what I know is what they told me! hat if I picked yes, my tape will be reviewed and if no it would all the over mytape would not be seen by the producers.

So when I picked yes, it ment I was going on to another poll the the producers would call the people that they liked and talk to them and then if its all still good set up with bein on the show.

Thats what happened to me, i'm leaving for LA in two weeks, my show would air between Oct 12 - 26

I am stil remaining hopeful though since i felt my supporters and I did a great job.

i had the young cute guy who looked about 25 who had the waiter and waitresses right after me go in. I don't remember his name but i know his last name was garabedian. he was a really nice guy and i was pretty sure i did well. Again, I did not have the yes or no cards and I don't feel that meant much. I think it was just used in some cases to see reactions. I showed lots of emotions throughout so I don't think i needed that tactic. First I only won a penny..so they saw my sad side, then we played again and i won 50k and i was so happy etc..so they saw both sides from me.

I was with my husband, cousin, aunt and parents and we enjoyed the time a lot! just keeping my fingers crossed now!!!!

another 2nd callback New Yorker here.

Thank goodness for this blog. We've all been asking the same questions and it seems like they're taking their time scheduling NYC this season. Yeah, I had the 2nd callback in May and Yeah, I also got the YES envelope. My supporters & I thought it went really well, but still haven't heard anything. Notice Nsiki was called only EIGHT days before a possible first shooting -- then they rescheduled. I think that is the way it's done with gameshows, very last minute --so the fact that no New Yorkers have been called yet (on this blog anyway) is a good sign for all of us. Good Luck everybody! And Nsiki -- bring home that million!

hey everyone? has anyone from NYC heard anything yet? I am still sitting with my fingers crossed? I wonder why they are taking so long to call NYC contestants? Are there any other websites we can check?

I still have not heard anything and do not know of any other websites. There were 130 at our call back and only 4 or 5 have written on this blog. It's possible that some NY'ers have been called but have not written on this site. The only way we are going to find out is by watching the show this fall.
Hopefully, one of us will have been called by then.

I believe, (and this is pure speculation, as are most of the comments on this page) they are picking a relative number of contestants from each television market, depending on the extent of viewership. For example: The casting director (along with the local newspaper) told us (in St. Louis) that our market was their largest one. That's why there were 5600 people at the open casting call on May 27. I read on one of these posts, New York had 4600 people, of which 130 were called back. In St. Louis, only 90 were called back. In the smaller markets, the numbers were smaller, so if I had to guess, from the smaller cities, they may only pick 1 or 2 from each, and NY, STL, and Vegas, being the larger calls, they could possibly be picking 3 or 4 from each of those, maybe a couple more. But remember, they told us, they taped 50 shows last season, and only aired 26 episodes. Turns out, not all tapings are worthy of airtime. Fine by me, as long as I get a chance to play. Let me win 10 or 15 thousand dollars, and see if I really care if it makes it to TV! So for all of you waiting patiently like me, you can hold on to your hopes and dreams until about September 21 (the day of the last taping) then we can all resume our normal, ho-hum lives.

I don't think September 21 is the last taping date for the year. Plus - you need to remember that they are planning live shows, etc. and with sweeps months - it's very unpredictable. Why do you think Sept. 21 is the last tape date?

I'm not sure about anything anymore, but in my spare time I found a website called hollywoodtickets.com, that has free tickets to the taping sessions. As the dates become available, they post free tickets. They started the 3rd week of July, and there are 10 taping sessions left (2 a day for 5 tape days). I don't imagine that will be it for the entire season, just for the fall.

I was at the Mobile casting call and just got my call back on Wednesday. They setup a phone interview for me and my supporters tonight. We have to tape the interview and I guess we mail them the tape. I am so excited!!!!!

To answer the question by shooie, I played till the very end and the only amounts I had left was the million and 100k and they gave me a offer which my husband said to take but I said no deal and went on. So they asked me if I wanted to switch the suitcase, I refused then I had to open mine and it had the 1mil.

After that it was easy to get excited and jump up and down, I think thats what they need someone that will keep going thats what makes teh show tense and gripping!!

I don't look for a further phone call. Although, I think otherwise I did really well. Anyone else do a phone interview? I'm really bummed.

I did the phone interview last night and am sending my tape in today. I did go for the last case and didn't trade it, however mine had the $750 in it and we all acted disappointed. I think we did really well and am just glad to have had the experience. I do really, really hope they call us back though. I'm just so excited!!!!

At my call back,in Tulsa,OK. they told us the mid-west was one of their strongest markets. The turn out was so successful they would be coming back for more casting calls.

What they tell each person: "you are exactly what we're looking for. Kinda like a womanizer. Ooo, did I really say that?

They want each of us to feel special and hang on to that glimmer that we will be the "one." And I'm happy to hold that thought for a year. But as I read what others were told I'm feeling more and more like one of MANY and not the elite few. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, far from it. I want to be the Grand Marshall...but it seems that even the casting directors are working from a few set script choices. Everyone heard very similar statements.

For now, I'll enjoy the excitement of what might happen. Along with who knows how many others.

My casting call was in Mobile AL. I got Chad as my interviewer and he was great. He basically said the same things they did the first time. 2 days to 2 years before I could get a call. They interview you alone and then play a mock game with your supporters with you. You needed to be real animated and never, ever say "It's OK" if you lose big money. I am very happy with how all my friends and I did during the interview. It's hard to pretend that the suitcases and the audience is there in front of you when it is not, so I think we did well.

I was in the one at St. Louis. I haven't heard of a single person from our area picked yet. I'm sure there were at least a couple, just not you or me, (yet). Hang in there, it could still happen, just keep your fingers crossed, and never give up hope. We should all be so lucky to be able to dream of getting that "call" that could change our lives forever.

According to the hollywood tickets website the deal or no deal tapings for september 22nd are canceled. Anybody know why???

I am from Columbia, SC, and I was the auditions on July 8th, and got the call back on July 9th. They told me that it would be anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. My interview (I think) went well, I had a lot to say. The first thing he said to me when I got in was, "I had never seen anyone with as much energy as you".... well after standing in line for 5.5 hours, and meeting about 20 different people, you had to have fun doing it.

they told me 1-6 months. its almost been 2 months. after january...I will have given up. I'm sure we def. won't be on this seasons shows b/c the last taping seem to be the end of sep.

why is it that everyone on here seems to think they did really well? i thought i did horribly at my 1st audition and told everybody i did not do a good job at all, then to my suprise i got a call back. and now that i have done my 2nd interview i feel the same way, that i did horrible. all i keep reading on these forums is how everybody doesnt understand why they havent been called yet. how many people out there actually think they didnt do well?

What were the dates of the casting calls and where were they in SC? I actually think they will be taping shows longer than the last of Sept. One of the people helping at the casting in Lex. told us that they sort of build up a bank of interviews to pick from. It seems like it was good to have a "gimmic" about yourself. They told me of one person that got a callback because he said he was a "ghost-chaser". So, they said his story would fit in if the show had a theme, e.g. at Halloween, etc.

I had Scott too! I thought he was pretty interesting - like I would have a good time just having a beer w/ him!

The SC casting call was in columbia at dutch square on July 7th I believe it was. Apparently the person from Cola who got picked called into a local radio station but they couldnt' give her name or let her actually speak on the radio. they were just talking about her. Not sure why she coulnt' give her name b/c Nsiki did on here and gave us details about when her taping is. Maybe they only tell some folks not to say anything. who knows....anyway...someone from here got picked and I can't wait to watch to see who.

less than 2 months. It had to be recently b/c I just heard about it. I agree with Diane on them wanting you to have a story. That seems to be their focus this year. I believe Nsiki said something about that too. Unfortunately I didn't have a story, just a spunky attitude so I'm not sure that will get me on this time. Oh well...maybe next year.

Scott was the director that conducted my interview. He was really nice. He told me that getting called back has nothing to do with how much you win in the mock game. He said it is a waiting game now - 6 months to 2 years. The camera lady said that there were alot of good groups that were filmed at the Bossier City call back.I am going to try to forget about it so i wont go insane.

Scott was my casting director. Loved his hair cut! Have to agree with Bitz. He seemed like the kinda guy you could go enjoy a beer with. He kept telling me that alot of the people they know they want to use, have to wait sometimes up to a year before the time is right to use them. Said they knew the lady they wanted to use with Celine months before they used her. It's all in the timing.

I wouldn't give up hope just yet. Just like some of the other people have said, there are more shows left to be taped, and I believe the initial tapings are only meant to get them through the first leg of the season. I'm sure there will be more tapings, probably around Christmas time, and even more next spring. I doubt they'll do anymore open casting, because if you total up all the numbers, you gotta believe they have enough people and enough second call back tapes, to get them through an entire season, maybe even more. So just hang in there, and remain calm. It might be a while.

Hi everyone, well my curiousity got the best of me and I called la and talked to one of the assistance at dond and she told me that no one will probably be getting any calls and it is too late for the last show of the season which is sept 21. she did say that hopefully it will be picked to be on air the following season, it is all about ratings. So I guess we all have to wait until Dec or so and hope the show is on. any feedback

So that means everybody WATCH the show and give them good ratings!!. That is kinda disappointing though but at least our curiosity is no more! Thanks for that update Debbie!

So - Debbie....hats off to you if you truly spoke to someone at the production company in LA. But, I have to say, you really spoke to someone?? I have a hard time believing you found a phone number to call someone, better yet, they answered the phone and gave you any kind of information. What number did you call?

Also, there were a lot of cities DOND went to this summer (Des Moines, Richmond, Indianapolis). I am curious if the only people that were cast for this season completed a 2nd interview in their city a day or so after the mass casting calls. Is it possible the DOND casting team selected folks from a video mailed in, or saw a 30 second video and just called someone at home from that short video?

Finally, Endemol USA has a couple of new game shows with Fox and ABC. Does anyone think they may be focusing on launching those new shows and not DOND as much?

well just keep hoping the phone rings, the woman who gave me the info could be wrong, she answered the phone but wasn't a producer. keep waiting they might call and give you a few days to get ready. no one knows. Back rom shooting the show, its an amaizing experience. Well I read on hear that someone went on a radio station and did'nt use their name ..and someone commented that I did.

The show was the best experience of my life, I had so much funn!! The important things I can'nt disclose are the ones that people want to hear!!

It was so glamerous the make up and the hair!! Being treated like a star was priceless!! Howie is so nice too... the models are all so cute and look better in person....it all was just unbelievable. The kind of pressure you fell when playing the game is indescribable!

All in all everyone was so nice to me and they had mega prices to go with the money you could win so...they really uped the anty this year....the show is awesome!!

In regards to more tapings, I know nothing about that...all I know is that if you don't end up getting on to the show it was not your time...some of the personalities I met that were going to be contestants made me feel infiria because they were so hyper and obnoxiouse ...you know what I mean...I started eto really thing of the reasons they picked me...but be yourself and often than not, being just that is all it takes!!

jodi this is tb and yes they called me for a 2nd interview/ audition. i did my 1st audition at a open casting call here in tulsa. then scott called me back a few weeks later to do an over the phone audition with him asking me questions as i was being filmed. i mean they were back in L.A. and i am here in tulsa so i am assuming thats why we did it over the phone. and thats what i had to send in.

I'm still here debbie. Just really busy at work, and with the kids, and fixing my car. Haven't had much computer time, or tv time. Bet your bottom dollar, next week I'll have tv time. Cant' wait for the new season to start. Hope I get to see someone I stood in line with.

I also watched and was pretty interested! Mainly just to see who got picked but now that they have upped the stakes to more than 1 million, they can never go back! It won't be as interesting if they do.

Deal or no deal is just not going to make it I don't think! Its not as fun as it was last season and the only reason I watch now is to see who got picked. I dont think they will pick up a 3rd season. I'm sick of seeing overweight men sweating all over the stage....that's not appealing!!! And if that's the contestants they picked then bye bye "deal".

I was at the Everette Casting calling in Washington. Those of you who were first in line and camped out with me, you may remeber me as "#40" HAHAHA. Have to say, that was the best time of my life and I wouldnt hesitate to do it again. Even though the drunk lady kinda ruined things..but hey, I took second in our poker tournament!!! I have a couple questions. Do they really see 3000 to 5000 people in 3 hours or do they extend the time? Do they have a cut off where they start sending people away. Also, do you think it is better at front of line, middle or back? Do they ask each person a different question that you have 30 seconds to respond to? If so, does anyone have an example? Thanks in advance.

CHI - At our open casting, they saw 3300 people and I was in line for 4 hours. I arrived right when they started taking people in and there was a huge line! At one point a staff member walked by and said, "Don't worry we will see everyone in line". I don't think it matters for front, middle or back - they know what they are looking for. The casting director will tell you in a large group what he wants, how it will work and what NOT to say - which plenty of people still said. *sigh*

We had groups of 10 people standing around a table with one casting person - I had the Director of casting - Neil - very nice guy. Each person gets a 30 second "commercial" to sell themselves to the casting person.

Do not go OVER the top - smile lots and have a unique story or thought about what to do with a million dollars.

Some stories from our casting call:
1. A girl who is going to be a surrogate and she was very bubbly.
2. A professional jump rope competitor who has performed with Cirque de Soleil and is a school teacher.
3. An Olympic athlete in the discus.
4. And then me.

I just got home from the interview and pretend game. We had a blast. From 3300 - I was one of 120 who was taped. (More are happening tomorrow). It was such an amazing experience. I made a deal for $85,000 and my case that I picked had $10 - so my deal was good and that was fun.

From what Chad told me, every tape from the 120 will go on to the producers - will they watch all 120 contestants - No. He said they fast forward if they aren't interested, or if the people aren't smiling. No secrets - they tell you what they want from you. It is just a matter of being yourself and hoping that you are what they want.

Last thing - I could get a call in as early as two weeks to as late as 2 years or never.

(You mentioned that some people went ahead and make the mistake of saying what he said to NOT say, and I was wondering what you meant.)Also, did HE say not to be OVER the top, or was that your opinion based on something else? I going for an audition this Saturday in Chicago. Please tell me some tips on how to get selected for the show. What would be a good answer about $1,000,000.

I was at the Everett Casting Call, and I too was one of the people whom got the second audition. My best recommendation to anyone... "Is try-out". Even if you don't get the call back, it's worth doing it. I have NO REGRETS! And I know it's hard for people to understand.. "be yourself", but seriously.. "Just be yourself". They already have in mind what they're looking for, and if you match that.. they great. My question to those who went to the second interview process, is how many got to choose between card 1 and 2?

do you always get offered the card #1 and #2 or is that only if they want you back after your second interview

so what is the normal day for DOND to come one?? is it only mondays now??

I went to my second audtion yesterday and was just wondering if anyone was given any clues as to whether or not they were chosen. Cards? Promises? I promised myself I wouldn't get so wound up hoping like the guy announced yesterday at the holding room. He said to just forget about the audtion and go on with normal life. It's not working!! So....if anyone out there knows if they're on...please share!! It'll help me go on and consider it as a great memory that made my supporters happy or continue hoping. Wilbur- How did your second interview go? Do you think that you and your team did your best? Were you given a chance to play an additional game, or was it over after the first mock game?

Does anyone have the answer to this question, what's the importance of the "choose between case one and two" If you are asked or not asked this question in your 2nd interview, is that a good sign or a bad sign?

I've noticed a lot of people here haven't received that option, and few have... just wondering if any of you know the importance of that additional game.

Anyway Wilbur, I wouldn't worry to much about it, just go back to your normal everyday life and chaulk it up as a great memory that you and your supports can talk about for a while. Think about how lucky you were to receive a call back for the orignal audition (3300 people, 120 called back... anyone who got in the second round is lucky enough to have been granted that second opportunity).

I'm going to the casting in CHI on Sat. Do we need to bring anything with us? Do we need to have an application filled out beforehand?

You won't need an application before hand, although it might be easier to print it out at home, fill it out, and have it in hand, when they start taking them, rather than trying to fill it
